Ragdoll Cat

Ragdoll comes from USA California. He got his distinctive name from the floppy appearance that resembles of a child's toy rag doll. When you hold him in your arms, he relaxes completely and becomes floppy as a rag. This feature is part of his trusting personality and he does it only when he pleases and feels comfortable in your arms.

Ragdoll is a very impressive looking cat, large and muscular. Males can reach 10kg in weight, females being considerably smaller. Ragdolls always have blue eyes. Beautiful silky semi-long coat is quite easy to maintain. Ragdolls are slow to mature, they will grow up to their 3rd birthday.

Ragdoll is a pointed breed, the traditional variety of colors and patterns are 4 colours: seal, blue, chocolate and lilac, and 3 patterns: bicolor, mitted and colorpoint. Newer colors include the red and tabby series. The color is also slow to develope, taking 3-4 years.

Despite his gorgeous looks, the most outstanding feature of the Ragdoll is his temperament. Ragdolls are very laid-back cats having the most wonderful personality, being affectionate, gentle, intelligent, playful and trusting. They always seek their human's company and have a great sense of humor. They remind you more of a puppy than a cat and get deeply attached to their family. 

Ragdoll is always an indoor cat because of his trusting and fearless nature, and is comfortable even in a small apartment. Ragdolls get along with other pets very well and are great with children. Only thing they can't have is loneliness. If their family is away long days at work or school, company of another Ragdoll is the ideal solution.
